Thyroid Gland

Diseases of the thyroid gland are very common, affecting millions of Americans.  The most common diseases are an overactive or underactive gland which are known as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism respectively.   Patients can also develop “lumps” or “masses” in their thyroid glands that can be either benign or malignant.
