Michael Sylvester

Dr. Michael J. Sylvester brings an exceptional level of expertise and dedication to his patients as both a subspecialist Rhinologist and Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Princeton University and medical school at Rutgers University, Dr. Sylvester completed his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan. During his residency he was trained by world experts in head and neck surgery, including sinus surgery and facial plastic surgery. He also completed an NIH funded advanced research fellowship investigating chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and allergic asthma. After residency he completed Emory University's fellowship in rhinology, gaining additional subspecialty training in advanced sinus surgery, rhinoplasty, and allergy.

Dr. Sylvester is dedicated to helping patients of all age with a wide range of ear, nose and throat disorders. This includes: sinus disorders, nasal polyps, nasal congestion, allergies, and sinus tumors, as well as ear infections, hearing loss, hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, throat infections, and other disorders of the neck including swollen glands and lymph nodes. He specializes in a comprehensive range of surgical options as well as minimally invasive procedures performed in the clinic. Dr. Sylvester is also passionate about treating patients with allergies. His personal journey with allergies, successfully treated with allergy shots, drives his passion for providing the same life-changing relief for his patients.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Sylvester enjoys fitness, long-distance running, photography, and traveling with his family. Dr. Sylvester is currently accepting new patients at our Buckhead, Stockbridge, and Fayetteville locations.
